About

Director of Engineering and Technical Director with 20+ years building games — from AAA multiplayer titles to 80+ mobile releases — and lately focused on bringing agentic AI into how engineering teams actually work.

Background

I’ve spent over two decades in software and game development, most of it leading technical teams and shipping at scale. I’m currently Technical Director at The Multiplayer Group, leading engineering teams building AAA multiplayer titles and engine tools in Unreal Engine 4/5 and advanced C++, with scalable backend architectures across Kubernetes, Docker, and the major cloud platforms.

Before MPG, I was Technical Director at Activision Blizzard King, where I directed a team of 35+ engineers within a 120-person studio, shipped two mobile titles, and supported six live games serving millions of daily players. Earlier I led the engineering of the first metaverse game engine at Decentraland, was Principal Engineer and C++ lead across multiple game teams at King, and co-founded the mobile studio Unkasoft as CTO, where we released 80+ titles worldwide on our own C++ engine frameworks.

My core has always been engine-level C++ — optimization, gameplay systems, and architecture — but what I care about now is the next shift: how agentic AI and tools like Claude Code change the day-to-day shape of building software. I write here about that, mostly through the lens of game development. I also teach agentic AI to development teams.
